Transportation from the airport to Amman

Driving directions
From central Amman, take Route 15 (known locally as Airport Road) to the south. The airport exit is shortly before the town of Al Jizah.

Public Transport

Public transport road
Bus: There is a 24-hour bus service (tel: (06) 506 3900; www.ltrc.gov.jo) between the airport and central Amman, running every 30 minutes from 0700-2200, and every hour between 2200 and 0700. The journey time to Amman is approximately 45 minutes, and the fare starts at JOD1.5 (with an additional charge for luggage).
Taxi: Taxis (tel: (06) 445 1302) are available outside Arrivals. The journey time to central Amman is about 30 minutes, and the fare is around JOD22.

Terminal facilities

Money
Banks, bureaux de change and ATMs are available both air- and land-side in both terminals.
Communication
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal. A post office is located on the ground floor of the terminal.
Food
There is a range of cafés, fast-food outlets and restaurants both air- and land-side in the terminal complex.
Shopping
The airport offers extensive duty-free shopping, together with a selection of gift and souvenir shops, specialist food outlets and bookshops.
Luggage
Porters, lost property and left-luggage facilities are available.

Airport facilities

Conference and business
The VIP lounge with business services is operated by Royal Jordanian Airlines and is located on the mezzanine level of the terminal. Conference and meeting facilities are also available at the nearby Amman Airport Hotel (tel: (06) 445 1000; ammanairporthotel.com).
Disabled facilities
Designated disabled parking facilities are provided. The airport is generally wheelchair accessible, with special toilets, ramps and lifts. Assistance personnel are available on request.
Car parking
There are two main car parks at Amman Queen Alia International Airport, accommodating nearly 1,800 vehicles. One is for short- term parking and the other for long-term options. The short-term parking area is located in front of the building, while long-term parking is further away but is linked via a shuttle service.
